Ameyoko
Ameyoko (アメヤ横町) is one of must-see shopping districts in Tokyo.
Ameyoko is a name of a street which is between Ueno Station and the next station. There are hundreds of stores on the street and you can feel very Asian atmosphere!
Even though I have never been robbed in Japan, you should pay attention to your personal belongings here!
Beans… Old people love them.
Seaweeds and dried Japanese mushrooms. Both are very important for Japanese cuisine, especially for soup.
Fish shops are very famous too. In the end of year, there are lots of customers just to buy fish for New Year’s Day.
When you are hungry, you can find places to eat everywhere. This is a tuna bowl restaurant.
They sell not only foods. This store sells shoes and clothes.
Another shoe store.
Bags and socks.
A perfume store. These perfumes are real. They don’t put other liquid like souvenier stores in Manhattan.
A last-minute sale! This man is yelling to advertise watches and necklaces. He keeps saying this sale is just for 10 minutes from now, but after 10 minutes, another 10-minutes sale starts. 🙂
